Assignment Overview This position offers 35-37 hours per week serving students across grades 3-8, with a typical caseload of 44-54 students. Our program emphasizes building strong foundational skills while preparing students for high school success through personalized, technology-enhanced instruction delivery. Core Educational Functions You’ll develop individualized learning plans that address diverse communication needs and academic goals. Responsibilities include creating interactive digital content, facilitating virtual peer collaborations, providing intensive skill remediation, and coordinating with general education teachers for inclusion support. Data-driven instruction and continuous progress monitoring guide decision-making. Required Qualifications Ohio DHH teaching certification and Master’s degree in Special Education with deaf/hard of hearing endorsement are mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate 2+ years of classroom experience with this specialized population. Proficiency in multiple communication modalities, assistive technology applications, and virtual teaching strategies are essential. Digital Instruction Competencies Advanced skills with learning management platforms, interactive presentation software, and online assessment systems support effective virtual teaching.
