Special Ed Teacher | Dalton, Georgia 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Dalton, GA 30721 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Special Education Teacher position is available to provide specialized instructional support to high school students. This role focuses on creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting curricula to meet diverse learning needs. The position is contract-based for the full school year and located in Dalton, GA.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to students unique academic and behavioral needs Adapt and deliver curriculum to accommodate learning differences in a high school setting Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure cohesive and effective educational strategies Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with parents and school administrators Maintain accurate records and compliance with state and federal special education regulations Participate in professional development and team meetings as required
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working with high school-aged students in inclusive or specialized settings Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices Ability to differentiate instruction and manage classroom behavior effectively Excellent communication and collaboration skills Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
