Teacher First Beginnings Child Development Center 500 Common St, Shreveport, LA 71101 Job Overview We are seeking a loving and reliable Teacher to join our childcare/educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, engage students in meaningful educational experiences, and support their academic, personal, and spiritual growth. This role requires a commitment to nurturing the development of each student while implementing effective teaching strategies tailored to diverse learning needs. Duties Provide a loving and safe environment for children ages8 weeks- 8 years old. Develop and implement lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater to various learning styles. Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement. Provide feedback to students and parents. Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a safe and respectful learning atmosphere. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices in teaching. Provide individualized support for students with special education needs or behavioral challenges. Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational trends and methodologies. Requirements Proven experience in tutoring, childcare, or related fields is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of child welfare principles and practices. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds, including those requiring special education support. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
