Posted Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 12:00 AM The Department of Special Education in the Diocese of Baton Rouge is seeking joyful candidates for full-time openings in the 2025-2026 school year for our Lab Services Program. Lab Services Program The Lab Services Program is a division of the Department of Special Education that focuses on dyslexia therapy and reading intervention. Students who are currently enrolled at their school and either have a diagnosis of dyslexia or are recommended by the school administration due to struggles in reading can apply for Lab Services.
Qualifications needed:
Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate Experience with reading remediation and/or Academic Language Therapy Orton-Gillingham/dyslexia training preferred Duties include: Carrying out the mission of the REACH Program- to provide superior services that address the unique and diverse needs of all students. Planning and implementing an individualized instructional program. Assessing and reporting student progress. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues. Our Dyslexia Lab teachers must be able to work well with school administration, school counselors and families to develop the potential within each child. Lab teachers work with students in grades K-8in small groups of up to 4 students for a total of 120 minutes each week.
