Qualifications:
Active Louisiana Department of Education Certification for Teaching the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Bachelors or Masters degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field Experience working with K-12 students, specifically those who are deaf or hard of hearing Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other communication methods Commitment to professional development and best practices in education
