This position is focused on providing tailored support within an elementary school setting, specifically designed for the extended school year (ESY) program.

Location:
Lafayette, LA Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of the student. Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to facilitate an inclusive learning environment. Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies to promote successful integration into the general population. Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding the students progress and strategies for support. Create a structured and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field; Masters degree preferred. Valid state certification in Special Education. Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in an inclusive setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff. Ability to implement IEPs and track student progress.
