LPN – Pediatric Care Specialist Canopy Pediatric Day Health Center New Orleans, LA 70119 Job Summary Canopy Pediatric Day Health Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team and provide direct nursing care to children and young adults (ages 0-21) with medical needs in a center-based, developmentally appropriate environment. This role is part of a multidisciplinary team and supports our mission to provide safe, nurturing, and medically supportive care during daytime hours. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled nursing care as prescribed in the individualized plan of care under physician orders.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and provide ongoing monitoring of patients’ conditions.
- Accurately document nursing interventions, medications, vitals, and care provided.
- Communicate effectively with caregivers, physicians, and members of the healthcare team.
- Assist in care planning and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Maintain compliance with state regulations and center policies regarding safety, infection control, and patient privacy.
- Support a nurturing and engaging environment for children with a variety of complex medical conditions. Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Louisiana.
- At least one year of experience in pediatrics, or two years of documented experience working as a direct care worker for medically fragile children.
- CPR certification (Healthcare Provider level).
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
