Ad Valorem - 2.
40 parish property (ad valorem) tax mills are dedicated to employee salaries. The annual receipts from this tax are distributed to employees twice a year, one-half in January and one-half in June. The amount of each employee’s supplement is the employee’s salary multiplied by the annual percentage (computed each year based on actual tax revenues).
Certified teacher to work in the severe profound/multi disable classroom who can plan and implement a daily program of individualized instruction based on student specific needs. Can assist in self-care needs of the students, which may include feeding and/or diapering students with special needs. Can maintain a safe and healthy environment which includes maintaining physical order and cleanliness of the classroom in keeping with licensure requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
1) Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in education from an accredited college or university
2) Valid LA teaching certificate or the ability to obtain one with appropriate endorsements
3) A demonstrated philosophy that all students can and will learn
4) Excellent attendance record
5) Excellent oral and written communication skills
6) Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of Best Instructional Practices
7) Positive interpersonal skills
8) Professional verification of successful classroom teacher performances and/or residency
- This individual will exhibit skills and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents and the community
