Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide leadership and manage a classroom team of paraprofessionals and therapists
Engagement with multidisciplinary teams across SCEC and the surrounding communities
Work as a productive member of the instructional team to maximize student outcomes and
independence
Recognize the need for and provide assistance to students in a variety of learning environments,
including the community
Maintain data collection to evaluate and develop research-based, data-informed best practice strategies
for all students
Develop/support foundational Deeper Learning pedagogy to facilitate internal and external learning
Participate in implementation of Collaborative Problem Solving approach
Developing and maintaining partnerships across all educational settings
Other student-related assigned responsibilities as needed, including 1:1 assistance
Write reports, develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), maintain and develop Behavior Intervention Plans as well as data collection employing research-based best practice strategies to demonstrate student progress and adjust student goals
Work with expert consultants to identify and/or develop effective support systems for students and families
Develop positive relationships with families
Develop positive relationships with internal and external community members
Participation in a mentor program that focuses on

PBIS & SCERTS

approaches
Ability to mentor and coach professional and paraprofessional staff
Ability to recognize the need for and to provide assistance to students in an appropriately active classroom setting
Responsibility to stay up to date with current educational practices
Other student-related assigned responsibilities as needed, including 1:1 assistance
