Job Description
Elementary Special Education Teacher (Multiple Disabilities)
Special Education Teacher who can maintain a flexible special education classroom that meets the diverse needs of students with a range of disabilities.
Our ideal candidate will have experience with elementary school age students with moderate-severe, multiple disabilities, some of whom are non-verbal and have complex communication needs.
Experience and Responsibility:
3+ years teaching experience, technology experience with communication devices, current, valid MA DESE Certification in Severe Special Needs, strong passion and prior lead teacher experience working with students with severe special needs, proven communication and organizational skills, ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, support staff and administration, ability to communicate with and manage support staff, ability to lift greater than 50 lbs. using appropriate procedures, IEP writing and evaluation and report writing skills, and flexibility. Other responsibilities deemed appropriate and assigned by the PPS Director.
Responsible to the Building Principal and Director of PPS
