Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Complete evaluations, write IEPs, and progress reports
Provide specialized instruction and accommodations to students with disabilities, including autism, and/or learning disabilities, and mild intellectual disability
Modify curriculum to grade level entry points as needed, implement functional curricula
Implement behavior support plans and collect data to inform progress and interventions
Consult with general education teachers and staff
Knowledge of Applied Behavioral Analysis, Social Thinking Curricula, and Zones of Regulation required
Facilitate social skills groups and incidental teaching techniques for social skills
Vocational skills as applicable to the program
Communication with families
Qualifications:
Master’s level required
Moderate Disabilities DESE certification in the required grade level
Physical Requirements:
This position may require long periods of sitting; talking or hearing in person and by telephone; using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or controls; reaching with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. The individual may be exposed to ultraviolet lights as are found in computer monitors and copying equipment. The individual may be exposed to various hazards in the building.
