Job Description
Class 1 Teacher’s Aid – Southwick-Tolland-Granville Regional School District 94 Powder Mill Road, Southwick, MA 01077 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Class 1 Teacher’s Aid. The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons while fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment. This role is essential in helping students develop their literacy skills, social interactions, and overall academic growth.
Duties Performance Responsibilities:
1. Work under the direction of the classroom teacher and/or special education teacher to meet the individual needs of all students. 2. To provide instructional assistance in selected skill areas. 3. Collect data and implement behavior management program for designated children. 4. Implement Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS) plans for students. 5. Provide inclusionary support in classroom. 6. Participate in Professional Development/training as needed. 7. Provide support services and accommodations as recommended by related services personnel, therapist and consultants. 8. Review and implement modifications and accommodations documented in student’s IEP. 9. Provide support to students requiring Assistive Technology to access the curriculum. 10. Performs other duties as requested by Building Principal or Director of Special Education.
