Qualifications:

Must be licensed as a Special Education teacher•Moderate Disabilities with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
SEI Endorsement Required
Must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher.

General Duties:

Guides and evaluates the learning experience of the students in her/his classes and accepts responsibility for activities of students within her/his purview within the school building or on the school grounds.

Specific Duties:

Provides differentiated curriculum instruction to students
Participates in faculty meetings and workshops
Provides, when necessary, instructional help outside the regular student day within bounds established by the collective bargaining agreement
Participates in curriculum planning and professional development activities
Prepares records and reports as required
Provides for the care and protection of school property
Keeps records and all books, supplies, and equipment in her/his classroom
Accepts instructional and non-instructional assignments as provided for in the collective bargaining agreement. Executes School Committee policy.
