Job Description
The Brockton Public schools is currently hiring an Emotionally Impaired (EI) Teacher. Crisis management training required.
This teacher will be responsible for the following:
Providing a basic core program for emotionally impaired students and overseeing the development of behavioral management strategies.
Instructing individuals and groups in special education skills areas.
Planning curriculum, lessons, Special Education programs and teaching methods.
Analyzing and recording behavioral and academic skills and progress of students. Communicating those to students/parents/verbally and through written progress reports.
Establishing instructional and behavior objectives for students through the IEP process. Participate in student’s IEP process and meetings.
Demonstrating effective classroom management techniques.
