OVERVIEW OF ROLE
The ABA Therapist will support elementary school students with high needs related to behavior. They will provide support around functional analyses and assessment, behavior improvement plans, teaching behavior acquisition and reduction procedures, and developing adaptive skills. They will work under the supervision of our BCBA , and collaborate with special education staff and consultants to support all students. This position is based at Match Community Day, our PreK-5 elementary school located at 100 Poydras St. in Hyde Park.
The compensation for a Match ABA Therapist position starts at an annual salary of $52,499 and can be higher based on prior relevant experience. Match offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 90% coverage of health insurance costs and student loan repayment assistance.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES
This position includes a number of essential responsibilities, including (but not limited to):
- Assist in the development, facilitation, and follow-up training on supporting high behavioral needs
- Use data collection tools with fidelity to support students
- Assist with designing and implementing behavior support plans (BSPs) for students
- Support general education teachers, special education teachers, and inclusion aides on implementing BSPs
- Consult with special education teachers, inclusion aides, and general educators on the behaviors support needs and accommodations for students
- Collaborate with students’ families as needed to support school to home connections
- Support school leaders and Deans as needed with students in need
- Join IEP meetings as requested by Special Education Coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified as ABA Therapist/Behavior Technician
- Successful completion of formal training in the analysis of behavior and instructional strategies training related to working with students who have disabilities
- A strong track record of success for working with students with disabilities
- A strong track record of consistently meeting compliance deadlines
- Experience working in academic school setting preferred
- Detail oriented and highly organized with strong analytical writing skills
- Committed to forming genuine relationships with families
