This role is essential in providing guidance to children with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of early childhood education, and behavior management strategies. As a Special Needs Teacher, you will work closely with children who have developmental disabilities. Responsibilities Observe and reports significant child behavior to teacher. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and specialists to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each child’s unique needs. Provide mentorship and support to families navigating the complexities of child welfare systems. Assist in behavior management strategies that promote positive outcomes for children. Facilitate access to library services and educational materials that support early childhood education. Advocate for the rights of children with developmental disabilities within various settings, including schools and community organizations. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in special needs advocacy. Experience Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities, is highly desirable. Monitoring and recording each student’s progress. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies for supporting children with diverse learning needs.
