Qualifications:
Must possess or be able to obtain the appropriate, valid Mississippi Educator License with a minimum AA certification in emotionally handicapped, varying exceptionalities, intellectually disabled, school psychology, social work or guidance counseling. Provide consultation and training of Functional Behavioral Assessments in the school setting; consultation and assistance in observation of challenging behavior; consultation and recommendation for classroom/individual intervention; consultation and assistance in developing behavior support plans; in-service training on best practices in behavior support and the teaching of pro-social skills; knowledge of special education law and requirements. Must pass a criminal background check as prescribed by state statute.
