4th- 6th SPED Teacher Holly Springs Intermediate School 655 South Maury Street, Holly Springs, MS 38635 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children, including those with developmental disabilities. This role involves creating and implementing lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring the academic and social development of each child. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to various learning styles. Manage classroom activities effectively to maintain an organized and productive learning environment. Collaborate with special education staff to create Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students requiring additional support. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience. Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a supportive educational community. Utilize effective classroom management techniques to encourage student participation and minimize disruptions. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education. Experience A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. Proven experience working with preschool-aged children or those with developmental disabilities. Familiarity with IEP development and implementation is highly desirable. Strong skills in lesson planning, classroom management, and educational assessment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including proficiency in proofreading educational materials.
