Early Intervention Special Instructor KidSprout Therapy Raleigh-Durham, NC Please note this is a permanent contract position. No medical, dental, vision, 401K benefits are included. Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. This role is essential for proving early intervention services to children and families enrolled in the NC Infant-Toddler Program. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in early childhood education, with the ability to engage and inspire children while promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Candidates should possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage their own schedule, superb communication skills, ability to self motivate and work independently. Minimum Education Requirements Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in one of the following fields: Birth-Kindergarten Education Early Childhood Special Education Special Education Education Elementary Education Child Development Child and Family Studies Counseling Human Development Family Relations Family Studies Family and Consumer Sciences Nursing Psychology Social Work Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate plans of care that align with a child’s IFSP
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that encourages exploration and learning in a child’s natural environment (home and daycare settings)
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support child welfare and development.
- Implement early intervention strategies with an emphasis on caregiver coaching.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and service coordinators, promoting top tier communication protocols to ensure collaboration at every level of care management.
- Stay informed about best practices in early childhood education, special education, and behavior management. Experience
- Proven experience (5+ years) working with young children in an early intervention setting is strongly preferred .
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices is essential.
- Familiarity with special education strategies is a priority.
- Strong skills behavior management techniques are highly valued.
- Experience in early intervention programs is critical.
