Category Schools – Paraprofessional Job Type Contract A dedicated professional is sought to provide individualized support as a paraprofessional in an educational setting. This full-time position involves working one-on-one with a 9th-grade male student, focusing on facilitating his learning and daily activities.

Oxford, NC Responsibilities:

Support the student in academic tasks and learning objectives. Assist with behavioral guidance and promote a positive learning environment. Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Provide support during transitions, including bathroom duties and any other necessary daily activities. Maintain clear and consistent communication with educators regarding student progress and challenges.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or higher in education, child development, or a related field. Previous experience working with students, particularly those with special needs. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff. Patience and adaptability in handling various student needs and classroom situations. Basic understanding of educational practices and IEPs is preferred.
