Vision Impairment – Braille Teacher Iredell Statesville Schools 1503 Old Mountain Road, Statesville, NC 28677 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate VI Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and encouraging student growth. As a VI Teacher, you will be responsible for developing lesson plans, delivering engaging instruction, and assessing student progress. This role requires collaboration with fellow educators and active participation in school activities. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Deliver engaging and interactive instruction to students in a classroom setting. Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey. Create a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, inclusivity, and active participation. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and behavior. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation. Skills A degree from a recognized University is required. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles. Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities and student records efficiently. Patience and adaptability in addressing the varying needs of students.
