Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Exceptional Children’s Teacher to provide specialized instruction and support for students with disabilities. The ideal candidate will develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), create an inclusive learning environment, and collaborate with school staff and families to ensure student success.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete all required IEP documentation as required by NC Policies Governing Services to Students with Disabilities within applicable timelines and compliance standards. Develop and implement instructional plans aligned with students’ IEPs. Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. Provide direct special education instruction in academic, behavioral, and social skills. Monitor student progress and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to foster student growth. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student performance and IEP goals. Utilize positive behavioral support strategies to create a structured learning environment. Participate in professional development and training related to special education best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field. North Carolina Teaching License with certification in special education. Knowledge of IEP development, special education laws, and instructional strategies . Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage classroom behavior and support students with diverse needs. Must pass background checks and meet school district requirements.
Preferred Skills:
