Special Ed Teacher | Statesville, North Carolina 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Statesville, NC 28625 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An elementary school in Statesville, NC is seeking a full-time Special Education (Resource) Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This contract position focuses on supporting students from kindergarten through third grade in an inclusive and collaborative environment dedicated to fostering the academic and social growth of young learners with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to kindergarten through third grade students Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies Provide direct instructional support and interventions for students with exceptionalities Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with special education regulations Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and educational team members to advocate for student success
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Masters degree preferred) State licensure or certification in Special Education Experience working with K-3 students in resource or inclusive settings Strong knowledge of intervention strategies, behavior management, and IEP development Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a commitment to promoting a positive learning environment
