TVI – Mooresville, NC 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Mooresville, NC 28117 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A K-12 educational setting in Mooresville, NC, is seeking qualified professionals skilled in teaching students who are visually impaired. This is a full academic year contract position, providing an opportunity to make a significant impact on student development and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of visually impaired students Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Utilize adaptive technologies and instructional strategies to enhance student learning Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional approaches as necessary Encourage independence and build confidence in students through targeted teaching methods
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Certification or licensure in Teaching Students with Visual Impairments or related field Experience working with children and adolescents who have visual impairments Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with educational teams Knowledge of assistive technology and accessibility tools Commitment to student-centered instruction and supporting diverse learning needs
