What You’ll Do:
The Relatives Crisis Center is an organization dedicated to providing a safe and stable environment for youth aged 7-17 in a 24-hour residential facility. We serve youth who have run away from home, are homeless, or are in transition under the care of the Department of Social Services. As a Residential Youth Care Specialist Lead, you will play a vital role in offering support, intervention services, and a sense of belonging to these vulnerable young individuals, helping them navigate through challenging circumstances and empowering them to reach their full potential. In your capacity as the Residential Youth Care Specialist Lead, you will oversee the onboarding process of new staff, taking on a pivotal role in training and mentoring them. Your leadership and guidance will ensure that new employees are well-prepared to provide compassionate and effective care to our youth, contributing to a cohesive and supportive team dynamic. Through your dedication, you will play an instrumental part in supporting staff, enhancing the quality of care and services we offer to those in need, and in making a positive impact on the lives of the youth we serve. Education AND Experience Associate degree in human services is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree in human services for awake nights, overnight and weekend. Prefer 6 months of related experience or similar populations. Must have a valid NC driver’s license.
