TITLE:
Teacher
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of two years of relevant work experience within the last five years with a Bachelor’s degree, four years within the last eight years with an Associate’s degree, or six years within the last ten years with a high school diploma. I-CAR ProLevel II in the Educator Role and OSHA 30-Hour Safety-General Industry certification must be obtained before the initial license expires.

JOB GOAL
To help students learn skills and knowledge that will contribute to their educational and social development in the automotive collision repair industry.
ESSENTIAL TEACHING FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Adhere to all rules, policies, procedures, and relevant state and federal regulations related to school operations.
Design a dynamic curriculum that aligns with students’ individual needs, interests, and abilities while meeting school, district, and state standards.
Foster an engaging classroom environment that is tailored to the developmental level and interests of students.
Lead the learning process to meet curriculum goals, setting clear, measurable objectives for lessons, projects, and units, while effectively communicating these to students.
Utilize the most effective instructional methods and resources to achieve educational objectives.
Regularly assess student progress, providing detailed reports as needed.
Engage in regular collaboration with colleagues, students, and parents to support student success.
Assist in enforcing school policies and maintaining classroom order, establishing fair and consistent behavioral expectations.
Plan and supervise meaningful assignments, providing feedback on performance and continually striving to enhance professional skills. Contribute to the development of the school’s overall vision.
Participate in staff meetings, serve on committees, and fulfill non-instructional duties as assigned.
Attend semi-annual
ICAR/ASE
accreditation meetings in collaboration with the local School
ICAR/ASE
Advisory Board.
Partner with School Administration, Guidance, and the Career Development Coordinator to attract students to the Automotive Program.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal.
Collaborate with fellow CTE faculty to promote and support SkillsUSA or similar CTSO activities, serving as an advisor for the chapter.
Terms of Employment:
10-month Employee Starting Salary and/or
Grade:
Salary based on state salary scale
Evaluation:
Performance of this will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board, local and state policy on evaluation of teachers.

Inspire, recruit, and mentor students in the collision repair field and industry.
Ensure confidentiality in accordance with local, state, and federal policies.
Possess the physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform responsibilities with dexterity.
Thrive in an independent setting, consistently meeting deadlines and delivering results.
Produce high-quality work at the established output rate.
Build collaborative relationships, fostering teamwork and positive interaction.
Effectively manage product setup and execution in the correct sequence.
