Job Description
Teacher for Visually Impaired 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Jefferson, NH Regency Home Health is seeking a qualified and passionate Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide in-person educational services to students with visual impairments for the 2025-2026 academic year. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in vision education, dedication to student success, and a collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities Include:
Conduct evaluations to assess visual needs and appropriate interventions Deliver direct instruction and therapy to students with visual impairments Provide braille preparation and supervision, including development of accessible learning materials Offer consultation and training to general education teachers, support staff, and families Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided Attend and actively participate in IEP and/or 504 Plan meetings Participate in any legal proceedings related to service provision if required Extended School Year services during a 4-week summer term Travel between school sites is

Qualifications:
Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Experience working with children in educational settings, preferably in a K-12 environment Proficiency in braille, assistive technologies, and adaptive equipment for visually impaired students Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Willingness and ability to travel between school locations Why Choose Regency Home Health?
