We are currently seeking Special Education teachers who are interested in working in a team environment to support learners’ access to the curriculum.
Qualified candidates will possess the following skills.
NH certification in General Special Education (or Statement of Eligibility).
Knowledge of specialized instructional programs.
Ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary student centered team.
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
An understanding of the New Hampshire special education process.
Write, coordinate, and implement IEP’s.
Implementation of positive behavior plans.
Facilitate parent meetings. Assist classroom teachers in implementation of IEP’s.
Demonstrate a variety of computer literacy skills.
Seeking a candidate who has knowledge of English and literacy instruction.
Seeking a candidate who has worked with behavioral, social skills, life skills students or within specific academic content areas.

Responsibilities:

Work as part of a multi-disciplinary student centered team.
Case manages special education students.
Coordinate, write, and implement IEP’s.
Facilitate Student Service Team and parent meetings.
Develop schedules and lesson plans.
Supervise instructional assistants.
Implement a variety of instructional approaches.
Assist classroom teachers in developing student interventions.
Integrate transitional and life skills activities.
Demonstrate a variety of computer literacy skills.
