Job Description
The Dover School District is seeking a special educator to lead a program for students with social-emotional/behavioral needs
- Support program with tasks and initiatives related to improving the quality of programming and instruction for students with social-emotional/behavioral needs.
- Work collaboratively with school staff to facilitate open communication with all levels of administration
- Programming support for students with social-emotional/behavioral needs in all continuums of support
- Assist para-educators in collection, assessment and interpretation of data in order to design appropriate individualized instruction for students with social-emotional/behavioral needs
- Assist para-educators in using interventions and evidenced based strategies for students with social-emotional/behavioral needs
- Knowledge of behavioral interventions for students with social-emotional/behavioral needs
- Provide classroom teachers resources for students with social-emotional/behavioral needs.
- Provide specially designed academic instruction
- Complete academic evaluations
- Participate in required meeting and trainings
