District LEAP Academy University Charter School, Camden, NJ is seeking a highly qualified Early College Teacher Grade 12 that will partner with the School Principal, to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Reinforce and reteach concepts from college-level English, History, or Liberal Arts courses to ensure student mastery. Design and deliver mini-lessons, workshops, and small group instruction aligned to course content and college professor pacing. Provide academic interventions for students needing additional support. Student Monitoring & Advisement Monitor student progress and performance in college courses using assessments, assignments, and feedback from college professors. Hold regular academic check-ins and support students with time management, note-taking, writing, and study strategies. Collaborate with school counselors and program staff to ensure students stay on track for graduation and college credit completion. Communication & Collaboration Maintain regular communication with college faculty, Early College coordinators, and high school leadership to align supports. Participate in planning meetings, IEP/504 discussions (as needed), and professional development sessions. Instructional Planning Develop supplemental instructional materials that align with college syllabi. Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices and student-centered learning strategies. Additional Duties Performs other related tasks as designated by the Chief Academic Officer. Education & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred Required NJ state teacher certification (New Jersey Standard Certificate, Certificate of Eligibility (CE) or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) or be eligible for reciprocity with an out-of-state certificate) Experience working directly with special education population in an urban classroom setting Documented experience using data-driven instruction to achieve significant student gains Benefits Full medical, dental, prescription and vision coverage, including spouse, child and family coverage Mandatory enrollment in NJ Pension (TPAF) Optional pre-tax benefits available, including flexible spending accounts for childcare, healthcare and transportation Salary 1.
Starting Minimum Salary:
