This role is eligible for a $5,000 bonus as well as up to $5,000for relocation expenses! New teachers start at $60,000, withMastery offering up to $82,000 based on experience and education.
Salaries range from $60,000 to $111,000, with growth opportunitiesas your career progresses.
The Opportunity:
At Mastery, all meansall. Nearly one quarter of Mastery students have individualizededucation plans (IEPs) to ensure they receive appropriate,just-right, educational opportunities. At Mastery, we believe theIEP creates an opportunity for teachers, parents, schooladministrators, case managers, related services personnel, centraloffice staff and students (when appropriate) to work together toimprove educational results for children with disabilities. Webelieve we can push the boundaries of what’s possible for ourstudents. To accomplish this, special education teachers at Masterydeliver robust research-based interventions, frequently monitorprogress and make logical adjustments to produce the best possibleoutcomes for students. Across Mastery our Specialized ServicesProgramming spans from itinerant to supplemental levels of support.
Our highest priority is for our diverse learners to spend as muchtime as possible within the general education setting and theminimum amount of time in self-contained classrooms. We strive tomaximize our teacher-to-student ratio in our Special Educationprograms. To accomplish this, we have multiple classrooms acrossour network tailored towards Autism Support, Emotional Support,Life Skills and Multiple Disability Support as well asMulti-Lingual Learner Support. At Mastery, we have a robustResponse to Intervention program and are excited for you to bringyour enthusiasm, skills and experiences to the team. We have a widevariety of Common Foundation research-based curriculums to supportour diverse learners across grades K-12 in Reading, Math andWriting. Our Reading intervention programs include Fundations, JustWords, Wilson, Heggerty, Waggle, Read180/Code, i-Ready and IXL. OurCommon Foundation research-based Math intervention programs includeTouchMath, Number Worlds, Math180, i-Ready and IXL. Our CommonFoundation research-based Writing intervention programs includeQuill, Adventures in Language and Writing for Success. Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive student achievement and set high expectations for allstudents Commit to professional growth, self-reflection, areceptiveness to feedback, and a desire to continuously improveImplement rigorous and appropriate lesson plans, assignments, andassessments in cooperation with Mastery school-based leadership andcurricular resources developed by Mastery’s central office AcademicTeam Work closely with school leaders to analyze student assessmentdata to measure progress and use data to inform instructionCollaborate in grade level teams to discuss student work, sharebest practices, plan events for joy and humor, and ensure studentmastery of standards Engage families in their children’s educationby building relationships and maintaining regular communicationDemonstrate genuine interest, belief, and care for students’personal and academic success Respond positively and effectively tochallenges with a solutions-oriented resiliency
Education,Experience, and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree required with a record ofpersonal, professional, and/or academic achievement Teachercertification – completed or in process Demonstrated expertise insubject area Outstanding instructional skills driven by data anddelivered through rigorous and engaging strategies
PhysicalRequirements:
Ability to physically perform the essential duties ofthe role, and to work in the environmental conditions required,such as: traveling to network campuses; maneuvering in officespaces (including standing, walking, sitting for long periods oftime, speaking loudly and clearly, seeing and hearing things bothnear and far away); stooping, kneeling, reaching filecabinets/shelves; fine finger and hand manipulation in use ofcomputer, chalkboard, dry erase, &/or projectors; filing,faxing, scanning, coping, typing, mailing, and making phone calls;sitting for up to two (2) hours looking at a computer monitor,using a keyboard/mouse, and typing.
