Managed Care Billing Specialist Confidential Posting Bridgewater, NJ 08807 We are seeking an experienced Managed Care Billing Specialist to join our team, with a strong background in billing and follow-up for secondary claims in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of Managed Care, Medicare, Medicaid, and Additional Documentation Requests (ADRs), and be proficient in managing patient accounts from claim submission through payment posting and collections.

Responsibilities:

Bill and follow up on secondary claims associated with Manage Care primary billing Post all payments for Managed Care timely and properly, moving copay amounts to the proper payer source as needed. Thorough understanding of Managed Care, Medicare, and Medicaid in SNF setting Performs patient account analysis Bill and follow up on secondary claims associated with Manage Care primary billing Post all payments for Managed Care timely and properly, moving copay amounts to the proper payer source as needed. Thorough understanding of ADRs (Additional Documentation Request) in both Managed Care and Medicare billing Generates and submits clean claims for all pay sources timely and accurately Documents billing and collection activities in accordance with organization’s policy and procedure Analyzes and problem-solves when faced with obstacles Prioritizes accounts by age and amounts Analyzes each account to verify the accuracy of the balance Resubmits and/or follow-up on outstanding accounts Performs all denial management and collections procedures to obtain payment Documents all activities on client AR thoroughly in billing software Reports project status to client weekly via reports, documentation in software or AR calls as directed Reviews all claims prior (triple check process) to submission to ensure compliance Reviews outstanding Accounts Receivables and creates an action plan to receive payment Identifies and escalates potential at-risk accounts the following to direct supervision

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent, College Degree preferred but not required Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Experience with Electronic Medical Records Software, Point Click Care, Waystar Clearinghouse, e-solutions, MatrixCare, Inovalon preferred Ability to communicate professionally Must possess critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently Must possess extensive knowledge of third party payer types, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to healthcare providers Minimum 3 years of Billing experience in accounts receivable in a healthcare environment; preferred Knowledge with
