Summer Camp Teacher Little Genius Planet 3081 State Route 27, Franklin Park, NJ 08823 Job Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, providing guidance, and ensuring the well-being of campers while fostering their personal growth and development. You will work with multiple age groups assisting several classrooms. Responsibilities Supervise and engage with campers in various activities such as sports, arts and crafts, and outdoor adventures. Plan and implement daily schedules that include educational and recreational activities. Provide support and mentorship to campers, encouraging teamwork and positive social interactions. Ensure the safety of all campers by adhering to camp policies and procedures. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized camp environment. Participate in training sessions, staff meetings, and team-building activities. Maintain needed documentations as needed Requirements Experience working with children in settings such as tutoring, sports coaching, babysitting, or early childhood education is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and special education practices is a plus. Certification in First Aid or CPR is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children of various ages. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while demonstrating leadership qualities. A passion for working outdoors and facilitating enjoyable experiences for campers. Previous camp experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
