CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT

Valid New York State Certification in Technology

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Experience and/or familiar with teaching the projected course load which will include the following:
Introduction to Woodworking, Video Game Design, Drawing Design &; Production (DDP) and 7 Th or 8th grade Tech.
Possession of or willingness to obtain Project Lead the Way certification for Drawing Design and Production
Willingness to participate in activities designed to promote and/or strengthen the Engineering &; Technology program.
A desire to create a classroom that is flexible and student centered
Willingness to work as a member of a cooperative team, collaborating on best practices, common assessments and data analysis
Contributes within and outside the department if called upon, i.e. advisor, chaperone, club, etc.
Incorporating differentiated instruction in planning a lesson/unit of instruction
Evidence of effective communication skills both written and oral
Effective interpersonal skills with students, faculty, support staff, and parents
Demonstrated evidence of exceptional effective classroom management skills
Knowledge of technology and its application in the classroom
Proficiency in modifying curriculum to meet the needs of special education students
Ability to reflect and contemplate on one’s teaching – allowing for growth and excellence.

SALARY:

$41,040-$52,800 Per WTA Contract
