  • 57,9000 This position is ideal for someone who is interested in pursuing their Master’s Degree in Education at a Catholic University in NY as most of these universities offer a 30% tuition discount while the student is teaching in a Catholic School.

Additionally, all student teaching requirements may be met through ongoing employment; there is potentially no additional field experience required.

Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to elementary school-aged students, adhering to New York State learning standards and the academic curriculum of ICCA. Integrate Catholic faith and values into daily lessons and classroom activities, ensuring all teaching conforms to the Catholic moral mission and the specific charism of Immaculate Conception Catholic Academy. Utilize a variety of effective teaching strategies, including inclusive practices, to meet the diverse learning needs of all students. Create and maintain a positive, supportive, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and a love of learning. Assess student progress regularly, provide constructive feedback, and communicate effectively with parents regarding student achievement and development. Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and parents to support student success and contribute to the overall school community. Examples include retreat days, workshops, and webinars. Participate in professional development opportunities and school-wide events, such as meet and greets, open houses, and other responsibilities as required. Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree is a minimum. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field, such as Math, English Literature, Biology, etc., is preferred. New York State Teaching Certification, or actively working towards licensure, is preferred. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the Catholic faith and its teachings. Ability to teach in a manner that aligns with the Catholic faith and its teachings and the specific values of Immaculate Conception Catholic Academy. Proficiency in utilizing a variety of teaching strategies, including inclusive practices, to engage diverse learners. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. A growth mindset, strong work ethic, and a genuine love for working with children.
