Duties Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create a supportive educational environment. Utilize effective communication strategies to engage students and facilitate their learning. Design and adapt curriculum materials to accommodate various learning styles and abilities. Provide instruction in core subjects such as math, language arts, and social skills. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly to ensure academic success. Implement behavioral management techniques to support students’ emotional well-being. Conduct assessments to evaluate student performance and inform instructional decisions. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Valid teaching certification in Special Education. Experience working with children with disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum. Knowledge of behavioral health strategies and speech therapy techniques is a plus. Familiarity with early childhood education principles is beneficial. Strong ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Experience in curriculum development tailored for diverse learners is highly desirable.
