POSITION

Special Education Teacher/Academic Integration Specialist (FT-10 month) (Anticipated)

ASSIGNMENT

Career, Technical, and Adult Education

SITE/BUILDING

Various Locations in Suffolk County

RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary function of this position is to support the delivery of high-quality instruction within secondary career and technical education programs. This support is provided via collaboration with CTE instructors, including co-teaching, collaborative planning, and instructional coaching The successful candidate will also support CTE programs by periodically delivering in-service professional development to fellow instructors

September 1, 2025 MINIMUM

Qualifications:

NYS SWD Certification (All Grades or 7-12) Dual or multiple certification preferred (in content areas and/or ESOL or bilingual) Minimum of 3-years of teaching experience Deep knowledge of best instructional practice and skills applications Experience in instructional coaching role and/or delivering professional development Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
