Category Schools•Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for Special Education Teachers to work with middle school students in a supportive academic environment. This position spans the full school year, beginning in August and concluding in June, providing continuity for student growth and development.

Levittown, PA Duration:
August 18, 2024•June 2025
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM•4:00 PM (37.5 hours per week)
Contract Type:
Full School Year (NSY)
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instructional services to middle school students with diverse learning needs. Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with state guidelines. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including general education teachers, counselors, and families to support student success. Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters social and academic growth.
Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Certification (Instructional 1 or 2); emergency certifications will not be accepted. Experience working specifically with middle school-aged students is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with staff, students, and families. Dedication to fostering an inclusive educational environment.
