Category Schools – Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A K-12 school is seeking multiple full-time Special Education Teachers for the 2025-2026 school year. These contract positions are available across several locations near Hazleton, PA, including nearby areas such as Scranton, Freeland, and Lake Winola. School Year Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specially designed instruction to students with disabilities across assigned grade levels Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to create individualized education plans (IEPs) Monitor and document student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary to meet individualized goals Maintain compliance with state and federal special education laws and regulations
Qualifications:
Active Pennsylvania certification in Special Education (Instructional I or II) Experience working with K-12 students with varying special needs Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Emergency certifications are not accepted
