Category Schools – Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A specialized teaching opportunity is available for a fully credentialed Special Education instructor to support high school students in grades 9-12 during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This contract position focuses on providing essential learning support to students requiring specialized educational services.

June 30, 2025 – July 31, 2025

Schedule:

Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM (10 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver tailored instruction aligned with individual education plans (IEPs) for high school students in a learning support setting Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs Collaborate with other educators and staff to ensure a supportive learning environment Maintain compliance with special education regulations and school policies throughout the ESY program

Preferred Qualifications:

Fully credentialed Special Education Teacher certified to teach grades 9-12 Experience working in high school special education settings, particularly within learning support programs Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Commitment to student-centered instruction and fostering academic growth This role provides a meaningful way to impact students’ educational journeys during the summer months.
