Category Schools – Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Provide specialized math instruction to 7th and 8th-grade students with diverse learning needs in a middle school setting. This contract position is ideal for educators skilled in special education who are passionate about fostering academic growth in mathematics using the Math 180 curriculum.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II certification in Special Education required. Middle School Math certification preferred but not mandatory. Experience teaching Special Education Math at the middle school level is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of Math 180 curriculum and adapting lessons for diverse learners. Ability to create engaging, individualized learning plans to support student success.

Philadelphia, PA Responsibilities:

Deliver math instruction to middle school students diagnosed with special needs in grades 7 and 8. Adapt and implement the Math 180 curriculum to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on individual learning requirements. Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to ensure alignment of educational strategies. Maintain accurate records of student achievement and participate in IEP meetings as necessary.
