• Community Academy is seeking an energetic, certified Special Education teacher to join our talented and experienced special education team. This is a great opportunity to learn and grow in your field, working alongside experienced special education teachers and specialized support staff to support students with IEPs in high school.

• Key Responsibilities:

• 1.

Provide supplemental instruction for students with IEPs on caseload2. Coordinate IEP team meetings to develop appropriate IEPs3. Collaborate with regular education teacher to implement modifications and specially designed instruction as per IEP4. Coordinate schedules and ensure delivery of services in counseling, occupational therapy, speech therapy and other related services as listed in the IEP5. Coordinate services for students with 504 Plans6. Maintain special education files ensuring compliance7. Provide push-in support and teach small group intervention group in academic areas per IEP8. Provide life skills and social skills support to students as per IEP9. Monitor progress for special education students10.Provide professional development and specialized training to regular education teachers

• Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
• Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education
• completed or in progress
• Communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Federal, state, and child abuse background checks required.
