Pig Farm Worker – Animal Care Specialist 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Tioga County, PA Country View Family Farms is seeking an Animal Care Specialist to provide day-to-day care to the sows and piglets on our River Valley farm. Offering a starting rate of $17.00+ per hour! As an Animal Care Specialist, you’ll be responsible for feeding , monitoring behavior and health, administering medication as needed, and ensuring that hogs living quarters are clean and comfortable. Your Role & Daily Mission As an Animal Care Specialist , you are the heartbeat of our operation: Perform early morning and daily health checks on sows and piglets—detecting issues before they escalate. Precisely document welfare, breeding and medical records to ensure traceability. Enforce rigorous biosecurity and animal welfare measures, and communicate them clearly across the team. Handle animals (feeding, moving, sorting) using gentle, safe handling techniques. Support barn cleanliness and routine maintenance to maintain a healthy environment. What You Bring High School diploma or GED Attention to detail and strong problem-solving mindset Physical stamina for a farm setting—be prepared for dust, noises, and active barnwork
