Category Schools – Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A public middle school in Irwin, PA, is seeking two Math Special Education Teachers for grades K-12 for the upcoming school year contract. This role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and case management in a supportive, academically rigorous environment primarily serving students with autism and learning disabilities.

Responsibilities include:

Providing math instruction tailored to individual student needs within a special education setting Managing individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioral plans when necessary Collaborating with staff and families to support student progress Maintaining accurate records and documentation Supporting a structured and positive learning environment without aggressive behaviors among students

Qualifications:

Pennsylvania Special Education (K-12) certification is required Generalist (K-12) certification is strongly preferred Previous experience implementing behavior plans is an advantage Experience in special education with middle and high school students (grades 6-12) as well as elementary (K-5) is beneficial Strong organizational and communication skills Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., totaling 35 hours per week. This is a non-renewable school year contract position.
