Category Schools – Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A high school special education teacher position is available in Cranston, RI, for the upcoming school year on a contract basis. This role involves providing resource support in various classes while also offering social and emotional assistance to students.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to high school students with special education needs. Collaborate with classroom teachers to support inclusive learning environments. Provide social-emotional support to students to enhance their overall well-being and academic success. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with students’ needs. Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to meet educational goals. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student development.
Qualifications:
Valid certification in Special Education. Experience working with high school students in educational settings. Strong understanding of resource teaching methods and social-emotional learning strategies. Ability to build positive relationships with students and collaborate with educational teams. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
