Elementary Enrichment Special Education BIP Teachers Summer Learning Program 2025 (Up to 1 position)
Program Dates:
Hours:
Monday•Friday 8:30am-3:30pm
$40.00 per hour (Contingent upon funding)
Please Note:
Teachers must commit for entire schedule during the Elementary Enrichment Learning Program.
The Elementary Enrichment Special Education BIP Teacher will provide daily instruction based on the Rl Elementary Learning and Development Standards.
$40.00 per hour, contingent upon funding
EDUCATION TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
RIDE Requirements:
Current/valid RI Teacher Certificate in the appropriate Elementary Special Education subject area
ESL Preferred
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS
Bachelor’s Degree in Education from an accredited teacher education program
Ability differentiate and scaffold instruction to support and accelerate learning for special education
An asset-based view of diverse cultures and a belief in growth mindset
Excellent organizational and communication skills to track and support students engaging in multiple modes of learning
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND CURRICULAR LINKAGES
Setting expectations for daily in-seat instruction
Monitor in-seat daily progress, provide individualized support, provide direct instruction to students, set goals, celebrate successes, seek tech assistance when needed
Support students with instruction Provide small group, and individual instruction based on student needs Administer and interpret educational assessments
Implement a range of effective instructional strategies and classroom interventions Promote an environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of all students
Supervise students in a range of settings; protect and promote the safety and well-being of students, colleagues, equipment, materials/facilities
Communicate and interact appropriately and professionally with students, colleagues, parents and the community
Continuously develop and evolve teaching practice and support colleagues in their development
