Responsibilities:
The Compliance Specialist is responsible for overseeing workforce compliance, training initiatives, and credentialing processes across all HMR locations, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and supporting the development of a qualified and compliant workforce in the following areas:
Training ComplianceOversee organization-wide completion of mandatory training (e.g., competencies, HIPAA, onboarding) and maintain accurate LMS records.
Generate compliance reports, communicate deadlines, and partner with leadership to resolve training gaps and enforce accountability.
Credentialing & Licensure TrackingMaintain and track licensure, certifications, and credentialing data; send timely renewal reminders to ensure compliance.
Collaborate with HR and field staff to meet regulatory requirements, including background checks, OIG, and personnel file accuracy.
CMS Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ) CompliancePrepare, audit, and submit accurate PBJ data quarterly to CMS, ensuring alignment with staffing and compliance standards.
Coordinate with HR and payroll to validate job codes and timekeeping data across all sites.
Safety & Risk Management SupportProvide administrative support for incident tracking, OSHA logs, and workers’ compensation documentation.
Assist with internal audits, regulatory prep, and maintain records related to MVRs and driver training programs.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (or relevant certifications such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or Healthcare Compliance may be considered in lieu of a degree).Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related role, preferably within HR, Compliance, Training, or Workforce Management.
Proficiency with HRIS and Scheduling/Staffing systems (e.g., UKG, Workday, OnShift) and strong skills in Microsoft Office 365.Prior experience in the Healthcare industry and a working knowledge of employment and labor laws highly preferred.
