Job Description
Category Schools – Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A dedicated educational environment is seeking a skilled professional to provide specialized instruction and support as a Special Education Teacher. This position is focused on creating an inclusive and tailored learning experience for K-8th grade students within a self-contained classroom setting.
Qualifications:
Valid multi-categorical certification Previous experience teaching students with special needs Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) Proficient in implementing various teaching strategies
Location:
Saint Matthews, SC Responsibilities:
Design and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with IEP goals Collaborate with paraprofessionals and other staff to create a supportive learning environment Assess and monitor students’ progress, adapting instruction as needed Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding academic and behavioral expectations Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and IEP documentation
