Family Trainer/Teacher of the Visually Impaired 2.9 2.9 out of 5 stars Charleston County, SC Job Responsibilities Provides special instruction in the child and families natural environment. Designs learning environments and activities that promote the infant’s or toddler’s acquisition of skills in a variety of developmental areas including cognitive processes and social interaction. Utilizes and updates prescribed lesson plans that reflect the unique needs of the child with sensory disabilities. Conducts curriculum-based assessments and establishes reasonable outcomes for the child with IFSP team. Provides families and other individual family service plan team members with information, skills, and support related to enhancing the skill development of the child. Minimum and Additional Requirements Bachelor’s Degree with SC Teacher’s Certificate in Visual Impairments and two years’ experience working with students (birth to 21 years) who are blind or visually impaired. Additional Comments If selected for an interview you must provide verification of your highest level of education (i.e., copy of BA Degree, high school diploma, college transcripts) and if applicable, licensure and/or certification (i.e., nursing licensure, teacher licensure, bus driver certification).
