This role is essential in providing support and guidance to ONE boy with special needs, ensuring they receive the care and resources necessary for their well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient monitoring, care, and a strong understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities, particularly those with Cerebral Palsy and Intellectual Disability. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities and personal hygiene. Preparing his meal and feeding Reliability and punctuality is a must to ensure a routine. Must be comfortable with bathing and incontinence. Must be able to lift when necessary to aid client with transfers. Must be willing to work at least one Saturday per month to provide respite to the parents Must be open to an overnight shift. Must be looking for a long term position as the candidate becomes a part of the family. Must be ok with 2 small dogs in the home. Qualifications Experience in patient care, or home care is preferred. Proven experience with special needs individuals Knowledge of CPR techniques and emergency response procedures is highly desirable. Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum, Cerebral Palsy or those with other developmental disabilities is beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with the family. A compassionate nature with a commitment to advocating for the rights of individuals with special needs. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with heavy lifting and mobility assistance.
